The Life of the Party is committed to making our website easy to use for everyone, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification. Getting ready for a celebration should be simple for every one of our customers — online and in our store.
What we’re aiming for
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for making web content more accessible. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review our site regularly as we add new features and products.
What we’ve done
As part of our recent site redesign, we’ve built accessibility in from the ground up:
- Clear, consistent page structure with proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate easily
- Full keyboard access to menus, filters, product options, and checkout — with visible focus outlines so you can always see where you are
- Color choices checked for sufficient contrast against their backgrounds
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
- Layouts that adapt to your screen size and to larger text
- Respect for your “reduce motion” setting if you’ve turned it on
Where we’re still improving
We want to be upfront: some areas aren’t fully there yet. A few older product images may still be missing complete descriptions, and some content from third parties — embedded maps, vendor size charts, and apps we rely on — isn’t fully within our control. We’re working through these as part of our ongoing accessibility efforts, and your feedback helps us prioritize.
